So on Friday night I went to the store without the kids. I received a panicked call from Chris ordering me to come home immediately because Dylan had an accident and was bleeding a lot.As it turns out Dylan fell in the backyard and knocked the front four teeth loose. One clear out of his mouth. I have never seen such a fat lip in my life. This is Dylan showing the hole in his mouth a couple of days later. The swelling has gone down a lot, but you still can't see the big hole. Let's put it this way, Dan Call came over the next night and remarked how he could hardly look at Dylan without shuddering thinking of the fall. Now the swelling is gone, Dylan is a dollar richer, and only the hole and bruised gums are left to remind us of the event.

Mom just told me of this unfortunate accident. I can't believe that the picture is a few days from the fall. The lip is pretty large and in charge still. Poor guy, at least he is about the age that kids start loosing their teeth. Hope the other three stay in and don't fall out now too.
I have to say, few kids can brag about loosing their first tooth in such an interesting way. I'm just glad no teeth went through the lips. The new ones are scheduled to come in soon anyway.
