On your marks get set go...

So Nate yesterday did his first ever triathlon. He decided about a month ago to go ahead and do it. He has been training practically everyday (which sometimes can get a little annoying). Well, yesterday he set his goal of finishing with in two hours and he met his goal and came in under two hours. He was one of the fastest swimmers (I was told he was about the tenth out of the water). He also told me that he swam breast stroke for a little bit (you know one of the slowest strokes) and said how he was going just as fast as everyone else. The 15 mile bike ride is where he lost some time, but it was also his first time riding the road bike he was using that day. He only has a mountain bike so that is what he trained on. Well all in all he did a great job and is now addicted to triathlons. This was a shorter triathlon because it was only .6 mile swim, 15 mile bike, and 4 mile run. I don't know about you guys, but I don't think I would ever be able to do any of that.

I am so impressed Nate! That is awesome. When I was in BYUSA I volunteered at a Triatholon (told the runners which way to go.. tough job but somebody had to do it.) Anyways I was watching the people and thinking that is amazing!!! And now you've done one! Good for you!
